    Re: First day menu suggestions

Here are some Induction menus to give you some ideas. It doesn't have to be fancy though. Just look at the Induction food list and pick from what is there. Try to have veggies with each meal and remember your fat intake. FitDay (or other food tracker) is very helpful in getting the proper breakdown of foods too.

ETA: Also remember to drink at least 64 oz of plain water during the day.

I would start with bacon and eggs for a nice breakfast that will hold you for awhile. Lunch can be a chef salad with oil and vinegar or blue cheese dressing, or a tuna salad with mayo on some lettuce.

Pork rinds make a good crunchy snack. A hard boiled egg or deviled egg can also get you past that late afternoon lull.

Dinner meat of your choice, a green veggie and a small salad. I sometimes save my salad for an hour later so I don't eat at night, but you can have a snack again then as long as it is legal.

If all the ingredients in it are "legal" for Induction, then you can have it. So no croutons, and the dressing needs to have no sugar added (check the ingredients for sugar, HFCS, etc.) and less than 2 net carbs per tablespoon.

I agree - start with the list of allowed foods and construct a little bit of a plan for yourself. I am a big egg person and eat quite a few on induction. Often I have something eggy both for breakfast and lunch. Maybe eggsalad with cucucumber, egg scramble with a bit of cheese and veggies. And then meat, fish, poulty with veggie for supper.

The best meals are the ones that are made of foods YOU like to eat. This is important because the more YOU enjoy your food, the more you are likely to stay on this WOE.

There are over 50 acceptable vegetables and nearly every kind of animal protein is fair game for Atkins. So sit down with the Induction Acceptable Foods List. See what foods YOU like to eat and what foods YOU are willing to try. Then devise a menu of those foods.

Eating a menu based on what someone else's food preferences are, might not be in your best interest....especially if you don't like the food or cannot eat the food due to food allergies.
