I have been following induction rules and walking everyday and still only lost 1.5lb during my first week. I have always been a slow loser, but I was hoping for better results. However, I did lose almost 4 inches total so, I am ok with that. After going through my menus for the past week I saw that my fat intake was between 40-50% of my diet. Could that be the cause for my slow weight loss? I also drink about 24-36 oz of diet soda a day, which I hear is another product that can hinder wt loss.

More than 24 oz of soda is above your sweetener limit (8 oz is 1 serving of sweetener). But yes, sodas are definitely something you should stop drinking.Originally posted by mmm9986 View PostI have been following induction rules and walking everyday and still only lost 1.5lb during my first week. Add more fat, and now that you know you have a tendency to overeat protein, track your menus daily. FitDay is a useful tool, but you can also do it on paper just fine."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: First Week -1.5lb
Thanks for the advice. I have been writing down my menus, but I just set up a FitDay acct ,which I think will be easier for me. I think that some of my problem was that some days I was not eating enough in general. I am going to restart my induction today eliminating diet soda, adding more fat, and eating a consistent and appropriate amount each day.

Also just because the scale is not moving does not mean you are not losing. You need to take weekly measurements as well to help gauge your inches lost.
I would definitely rid the diet soda and stick to water. I do have one unsweet tea a day if I drink ENOUGH water as a way to get me to drink water because I hate it!!
You can do it - just stay strict and IT WILL COME!!Traci
