    Re: Week into Induction- HELP!

I'm new around here, but with my previous round on Atkins I lost 50lbs and kept it off.. I found that sausages can contain up to 5 grams of carbs per sausage, and they come from wheat crumbs and sugar directly.. The cheese tends to have a lot of sodium and can cause water retention.. Olives are full of salt too.. Try drinking around 3L of water a day and cutting down the sodium..

Having said that, if you've been losing a LB a day and you gained .6, I'd say you're doing pretty damn good.. I know it get discouraging and that .6 can throw you into a panic, but don't fret. This is a lifelong way of eating. Take how much weight you've lost over the last week and then think of where you'll be in 6 months. Don't worry too much about tiny setbacks.

Sorry if I'm being repetative, 2 hours of sleep is no good for anyone.

My advice to you is stay off the scales. Our bodies naturally flaculates (sp?). .6 of a pound could be caused by any number of things. TOM if you are a woman...the sodium in your sausages, olives or ham...not drinking enough water...your body hanging onto the water for a bit to repair your muscles from exercise....etc

To me it looks like you eat a lot of sausages..check out your ingredients for hidden sugars and sodium. Plug your day into www.fitday.com and see if you are around 5% carb, 30% protein, 65% fat. You should be eating around your BMI (edited that should be BMR...not BMI.sorry)...a couple of hundred over or under is fine. If you are close to those numbers you should be doing okay.

Did you check the ingredients in your sausages? 9 sausages in one day might be excessive.

Most English sausages that I've had have non-Induction friendly ingredients, like rusk, etc.

Just to clarify, it should be your BMR ... Basal Metabolism Rate, not your Body Mass Index.

              Re: Week into Induction- HELP!

              Thanks for the answers.

The sausages are like 6 per day sometimes 8 and are 90 % meat, no sugar ir breadcrums it had a little flavouring water and startch. these are more expensive than your usual ones.

Olives are only a few a day and the ham I jusr started eating the other day has SUGAR on it, I checked the pack after making the thread.

Its black forest german ham, so thats out.

Didnt have it yesterday so will weigh in a moment and see how we go.

              Thanks

Most people are fine eating this... just like they eat mayo with sugar in it. The amount of sugar should be very small. The Black Forest ham I find here has less than 0.01 g of sugar per slice.

Your weight one day is not necessarily influenced mainly by what you ate yesterday.

You're not going to lose weight every day, no matter what you do.

3 grams of cheese soft brie and chedder
                  3 grams?

                  Dont want to stall yet.
A stall is four consecutive weeks without weight loss or loss of inches. One day of not losing or gaining means nothing.

The sausages are like 6 per day sometimes 8 and are 90 % meat
How many carbs were these adding to your menu?

Well, what's the ingredients for the other 10% of the sausage?

                    Sausage should be 100% meat.

Don't you think that's a bit too much?

Is this 90% figure written on the label? Or did you just come up with it?

93% on packet, also startch is in all sausages.

Whats a little high 10% for carbs is too high for induction?
