  • Induction Flu

I am wondering if I will be getting the flu if I switched over from South Beach to Atkins? My carb intake wasn't super high but I am wondering if I should be preparing myself for the flu. If I do get the flu, any one have some helpful tips to push through?

    Thanks

    Re: Induction Flu

You may experience some of the traditional induction flu, but it will probably be less noticeable than someone who eats more carbs. The only thing that I can suggest is to drink extra water - at least 64 oz. That helps flush out the toxins and ketones produced during induction.

If you continue to do as you've always done, you will continue to get what you've always got.

Drinking plenty of water helps, and also make sure you eat enough!
I usually feel better after having something to eat e.g. tuna salad

      Good luck!

        Re: Induction Flu

As the others have said, it might not be as bad for you as it is for others who are eating the 'normal' carbload that the average non-Atkineer does.
In fact not everyone suffers on those first few days, so you might escape it all together!

So just enjoy the change in eating plans and drink your water
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

          Re: Induction Flu

The flu is not that bad. Nothing like that other flu we are worried about right now
So how are you liking the transition from SB to Atkins?
