  • day 4-still going strong

    morning everyone.

    today is going to be tough. i know i need to get my food intake, but with this h1n1, i woke up and it's like someone is stabbing me in the stomach, so the last thing i want to do is put food in it.

    what do you all suggest so that i remain on induction without blowing it?? im going to make the chicken soup later, but honestly dont know if i can eat it with big chunks of veggies and meat..im thinking of pureeing the meat, do you think that would be ok.

    Sure, you can puree the meat and the veggies. You can also get protein from things like soft boiled eggs.

      i have 2 eggs my hubby just threw in the room to me before running away lol im nibbling on them.

      great, i'll puree the ingredients and make a nice pot of soup later.

            Remember that getting well is job #1 ... just don't eat "off plan", but if it's not up to Induction standards, the world won't end.

              thanks J. i just made some low carb ketchup,...tastes very similar to heinz, i finished my bbq sauce, it's really good...spicy so i'll have to wait to eat it..but man its yummy. i have one of those magic bullet blenders, so i can make the sauce in the cups and just put the lid on it. It literally takes me about 3 minutes from start to finish to make these sauces. my fridge is quickly filling up with those cups!! i've got eggs coming to room temp to make mayo later. i'm just letting the kids and hubby finish up all of the high carb low fat garbage in the fridge, and then switch them to the homemade stuff im making. when i do a food inventory of our fridge it makes me smile..there are so many healthy choices in there, and my kids are learning a new way of eating as well. husband is supporting me but he has a naturally faster metabolism, so he's not willing to go as strict as i am but it's the little gradual changes that he's doing that are encouraging me and him as well. again i cant thank you all enough for the continual support and encouragement.
