      i think you need to be realistic about it.. flavouring the water is one thing...but adding crap to it like the things that are in pop, or even coffee which is full of caffeine changes things. i think you have to use some sense and not force yourself that by drinking a 6 pack of bud you've had your water intake for the day either lol (not that i think you are, just a point)

          ya, crystal lite would was a bad example for induction. it's all sweetners... but if you can add spices to a cauliflower and eat it while drinking the water, what's the difference if you just pour that tablespoon of atkins induction friendly power/liquid into your water? it's the same right.

            flavouring with lemon, or lime, or a tomato, even.. it's still water if you are measuring out your 10 oz of water and then blending with water.. same situation..blend it in and it doesnt count but if you bite the tomato pieces and drink your water with it, suddenly it counts?...doesnt make sense to me.

                  Well, like I said, you can argue the merits and food value of what your using to 'flavor' the water, but it is still water. If it wasnt I would be dead. You can only live about 2 weeks without water, and I have gone YEARS without drinking any. It came from somewhere.

                      ok, after starting the heated 'water aint water no more' issue, roflmao, I'll concede that Dr. Atkins doesnt want it counted on his diet plan, and he seems to have been a smart guy, so.... (I'm currently drinking a big glass of that nasty clear stuff right now!)

                        Do you want to hear that 64 ounces is a MINIMUM and that many who drink 1/2 their current body weight in ounces of water do well?
