Is hummus allowed-- or should I know something?? The baba ghanoush hummus I got at the grocers said 2 tbl=3 carbs with 1 fiber and 2 sugars. Is it ok to snack on with cucumbers this week?

Re: Hummus
Hummus is made from chickpeas. Are chickpeas on the Acceptable Foods List for Induction?Originally posted by soggycoxswain View PostIs hummus allowed-- or should I know something?? And if you check the Carbohydrate Ladder in your copy of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, where do chickpeas fit on the OWL Carbohydrate Ladder?

Re: Hummus
Thanks for this and sorry for the late reply. I did not entertain the hummus this week and had my cukes with Caesar instead. I am down over 7 lbs and almost done with induction. I didn't realize chickpeas were beans... It will be a long time until we pick those up again...

>>The baba ghanoush hummus>>
Baba ghanoush is not the same as hummus.
Baba ghanoush is made from eggplant.
What were the ingredients exactly? It may have been fine.J.
