    :wave

    Hello,

I am new to atkins and I am on Day 1 of induction. Look like I have a lot to learn about cooking healthy foods. I had my first piece of Salmon today and it was great! I have so much weight to shed :sadblinky. Anyway I plan on doing my best to make it throught the first 14 days induction.

    Welcome!
Make sure you've read your book through and through and have a good working knowledge of the Rules of Induction and the Acceptable Foods list. :yes

Best advice I can give you is to be prepared as much as possible and have legal foods handy at all times so if you are hungry you've got something good to reach for.

    All the best to you!

          Hi rkrs6673

Welcome home! We all had our first day, and you won't believe how quickly the time will pass.

I too had to learn a great deal about cooking healthy food and I'm still learning. It is fun! Soon you will be in ketosis and waving bye bye to those pesky pounds.

Be sure and join the Century Club. Incredibly warm, wonderful people who will give you lots of support there.

PS...Learn to make the mock danish. It will get you through many a former craving.

Welcome to ADBB. Try not to get discouraged about the weight you have to lose. It represents more of testament to your Atkineering willpower and commitment. It is a opportunity not who you are. I started about one year ago thinking the same thing, and never would have imagined that one year later I would be 170 pounds. Keep that in mind as you go through the first 14 days, and keep thinking do I want this day to be a day I remember fondly or regret one year from now.

You can certainly do this and get yourself down to your goal weight. If you need some additional inspiration go to the Before/After photo forum here, there are a number of inspirational ones there now.
