  • Is my menu good enough for wieght loss ! ! ! ?

    Day 2 of Induction, this is my menu :

    Morning : 1 scrambled egg with oranje juice

    Snack : Piece of cheese (small square)

    Lunch : Beef with Broccoli and Lettuce salad with a few pieces of chicken

    Sanck 2 : 2 boiled eggs and a little chicken

    Dinner : 1 scrambled egg, wallet size slice of chicken (grilled), one tomoto with salt n pepper.

    Now what I want to know from you guys is that is the above diet ok accroding to Atkins or not ? I work and seriously dont have much time to be creative with the menu =) and i really want to get into my pre marital clothes ! =(

    Eeek! No orange juice is allowed on Induction, and by the looks of it you're not eating enough.

    Some other members may have more advice.

      Orange juice is not allowed on induction. Too much sugar.

        Also if the beef with broccoli is a Chinese restaurant version it has cornstarch. Do you have the book? Have you read it? It would help you understand this a lot better. No fruit juices are allowed in Induction. No fruit is allowed in Induction.

          Did you find orange juice on the Acceptable Foods List in your copy of DANDR?

          Snack : Piece of cheese (small square)
          Did you weigh it?

          What's a "small square"?

          Did you count the carbs in it? Cheese has carbs.

          Lunch : Beef with Broccoli and Lettuce salad with a few pieces of chicken
          Did you weigh/measure your veggies?

          Also, there is not enough fat in your diet, I believe. Atkins is a high fat diet. During Induction, 60-70% of your calories should come from fat and only 25-30% from protein.
