I've read in the book and on here about sticks that will tell you if you're in ketosis or not. Where can you buy stuff like that? Wal-Mart?

Where can I get Ketosticks?
I'm 26 years old, and I lost weight on this plan in 2005. I'm getting married in August and thought this would be the way to go after making little progress on other diets. I've got 20 lbs to lose for the big day!

Probably Walmart. Walgreens. Target. Worse-case scenario you can find them online.
Basically, anyplace that has a pharmacy will most likely have them. Ask the pharmacist to direct you.

I just bought mine off ebay. It was the cheapest in the area, 100 strips for $7 something after shipping. Walmart sells them as well, but they were much higher in my area.Kent - 35-M-6'4"

Two reminders about ketostix.
When testing for the presence of ketones remember that no matter whether the stick turns light pink or dark purple, it means the same thing, that ketones are present. It's like a pregnancy test, you either are or you aren't.
The stix also don't tell you whether the ketones are from the fat on your body or the fat you ate for breakfast, so don't get too hung up on them.
Another thing...I guess it's three things altogether..lol..lots of times people will say they used them and nothing registered. It seems that packages can have duds in them, so again, don't get too worked up about them.
If you are following the Rules and eating as you should be off of the Acceptable Foods list, you'll no doubt be in ketosis. :yes
