  • I couldn't find the MAYO!

Seriously I was at Wall-mart Super-center looking thru all of the mayonnaise they have in stock and absolutely all of them had sugar in the ingredients.

Even the ones that some here recommend like real mayo helmans and kraft. I swear I looked like a nut looking and reading thru each label LOL

Does anyone know of one that doesn't contain Sugar or anything like that? I don't know maybe I should go to a different store?

Which stores carry sugar free items? Natural foods stores?

Most people are fine consuming the tiny amount of sugar in mayo. Sugar is usually listed among the last ingredients.

Does anyone know of one that doesn't contain Sugar or anything like that?
I've heard around here that Duke has no sugar.

It's also easy to make your own mayo...

The house brand at Trader Joe's also is "no sugar".

However, the amount of sugar in Hellman's and Kraft is indeed trace ... and I wouldn't fret over it.

everything I pick up now I instantly read labels all through the store, I've often thought wow I would never even think of actually READING what is in something before I bought it. We can look crazy together because I'm up and down pick it up, read put it back...sometimes it is absolutely SHOCKING to find out how many carbs were in the foods I was consuming before!!!

You get used to looking like a nut...at least I did

I use Hellman's - even though it has a little bit of sugar in it. Is it technically legal? No. Many of us have found it 'OK', if better cannot be found

I have found that many of the store brands don't have the sugar. Added benefit? They are also cheaper! lol!

Hopefully they do not have corn syrup in stead. I have seen that happening a lot

Re: I couldn't find the MAYO!

Ooh - I had a disaster when I tried making mayo with olive oil and had to throw it away - waste of a cup of expensive virgin olive oil

Maybe I will try it with a different oil to see if it works better, I've got a new bottle of groundnut oil I could try.

I also have used Hellman's (Best Foods) without problems. I have never found another mayo that I like (even homemade).
