Ugh waiting for the book to arrive....

Started Atkins about a week ago.

Found conflictng information everywhere. However, I found this web site. Now just waiting for the book to arrive. If I am going to do it, I want to do it right.

Thanks for the post about half.com, only paid 1.25 for a hard cover 2002 DANDR edition.

In the meantime I am getting use to no sweets & plenty of water.

The book is such a fantastic investment. Most of the info in the book really hits home for me. I'm really glad I bought it. Happy reading when it arrives

Glad you found the board and are excited about staring. First of all, Atkins is not a "diet" it's a way of eating over a lifetime. Once you learn how to eat this way you will wonder why you didn't start long before now. A few tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot.

Once your book arrives and you've read it make sure you are eating only the foods on the acceptable food list make sure to eat a variety of foods and vegetables.
