  • wtf...

    I know I have no one to blame but myself! Last Wednesday I weighed in at 218lbs and I was so excited. Then I had my 24 hour relapse and got right back on track. This morning being on my 15th day of induction I weighed in at 223. I have been drinking water like none other. I am needing some words of encouragement to continue and not get too discouraged. Because really when I look at it in the course of 14 days I have only lost 3 lbs

    Mini Goal #1: 220 met 11/9
    Mini Goal #2: 215 (go for a new cut)
    Mini Goal #3: 210 (There will be dinner at The Melting Pot)
    Mini Goal #4: 205 (Buy a new pair of unnecessary shoes)
    Big Goal #1: 200 by New Years 2010 (Vegas Baby!!!)
    Underarms 17
    Chest 43.5
    Ribcage 41.5
    Waist 48
    Hips 52
    Upper chest 42.4
    Thigh 31.5

    It's 3lbs - 3 boxes of butter- less than you weighed 2 weeks ago, right?!

    Have you posted your menu for review?
    Are you exercising?
    Is your TOM coming up?

    Relapses cost. It's so not worth it. Believe me. It's just not.

    And honestly? You could choose to give up, but what is that going to get you? You're not always going to be rewarded regularly/quickly for being a good girl and doing what you're supposed to do. It sucks, but it's the truth.

    What I do know is that giving up is 100% not going to get you closer to your goals.

    Hang in there and keep on keepin' on!
    Continuing to work at it has 100% potential to get you to goal.

      have you been exercising? have you been getting enough fibre to move the food through (pooping)..
      what are you eating??
      3# loss is better than 3# gain. when are you weighing yourself? are you eating salty foods that can cause you to retain water?
      stick with it, it will be worth it when you are healty and slimmer. Are you losing inches??

        You have lost 8#,but you ate the wrong foods when you had your slip up and gained back 5. So saying you only lost 3# isnt really accurate. Hopefully that will encourage you to do a clean induction for the next 2 weeks and lose another 10#!!

          Forget about what you did and move forward. Fluctuations happen, cheats make you gain. Lesson learned.

            5 pounds in 24 hours? That must have been some cheat. It's more than likely water because I can't fathom that someone would gain 5 pounds of fat in 24 hours.

              OMG

              I'm in that same boat,

              Except I was on induction started at 223lbs and after a few days I was down to 217lbs I think it was 5-6 days in induction, so then this weekend I guess I kinda of got carried away, my mom made this cake and well you know ...My temptation and I got so weak ....cause of stress and the missing the carbs and what not...I decided to get some...well I ruined it a bit and then Sunday a little bit a chips and french fries got the best of me...so here I am Monday morning working out, I weighed my self at 219 lbs....so in total I also only lost very little after all my effort...I lost 4lbs....

              But its fine....I see it as five steps foward 2 steps back....and so forth...

              I'm on the 6 week exercise challenge....and i'm just going to keep at it.....

                kmuldrow - I think it was over 5 days, she just had a 24 hour 'lapse'.

                  I can gain and lose 5lbs in one day maybe even 6lbs I swear....

                  But then again i really think i'm have insulin resistance I don't know if that matters....

                        It is impossible to gain that much fat in that little bit of time. It is more than likely the bulking up of fecal matter in the colon from shovng things in that don't belong anymore or water weight gain.

                        Also if you only lost 3lbs somethig wasnt done right. You have to do induction exactly as its laid out.

                          A 24 hour lapse in food judgement is enough to knock you out of ketosis for much longer than 24 hours. Lapses are slippery slopes and aren't worth the hype in my estimation.

                              It's "fine"? If you think it's "fine" to make "five steps forward, 2 steps back... and so forth," you'll never make Atkins a way of eating for life.

                              You need a plan instead of relying only on willpower. Especially when you know there's gonna be cake in the house.

                              Seriously, they are pretty useless for anything else than the fun of peeing on something.

                              They do not tell you if you are following the plan correctly. And they do not tell you if you are losing weight.

                              Also, just because they only change their color today, it does not mean you were not in lipolysis/ketosis yesterday.
