  • hi Im new and just starting out

Hi Im Livvy and just found this site, just been re-searching Atkins and ended up here, there seems to be loads going on at this site, so bear with me,#
Ok Day 1 of induction I am 126 lb (9 stone 3) and only 5,1"
so would like to get to 116 (8 stone 4) or 118 (8 stone 6) before christmas, so thats 10lbs, lookinbg on this site it looks easy enough....................but I love a drink , so thats my downslide!, and also, just to confirm, its not just meat/veg forever, as read somewhere friuts and low carb bread can be added when maintenance, is this correct, and also where do we put daily menus!

    Day 1
    B Baby bell, 2 slice ham/mayo
L Cheese omlette (1 oz cheese) 2 eggs
    2 bacon, 1 tomatoe, 3 mushrooms
    D Chicken leeks/cabbage/mushrooms cooked butter

    will add snacks later

Hi Lilly - welcome to our international ADBB family

I am guessing as you talk in 'stones' that you are from my side of the pond, so it is good to see another Brit posting here

As you wrote, Atkins is not just meat/veg and when you move to the second phase you will be adding nuts/fruits/alcogol/legumes/starchy fruit & veg and even grains if your body can cope with them.

In fact there are a couple of items on the vegetables list that many people think of as being fruit, so you could add rhubarb and pumpkin on induction!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
