  • Hi Again

I keep drifting back to Atkins. My name is Mary Ann. My weight has held at 178 for about a year now. I've tried the gym (which I like) and was told to eat the good carbs. I did, and I gained 10 lbs. I went to the weight loss clinic and lost nothing. I've decided to try Atkins again, because I know that it works. My biggest dread is Thanksgiving. It's probably not the best time of the year to begin a low carb life style. hopefull, I can get this weight off for good.

Actually, it's not a worse time than any other day of the year, in my opinion. I started Atkins a week or so before Christmas.

Did you start planning your Atkins-friendly Thanksgiving menu?

Mindy, are you still on Induction, as your profile info shows?

          Welcome back.

And there is no reason you can't enjoy Thanksgiving and still be following Atkins. Give it some thought and planning. You can search some of the threads about Thanksgiving over the past week or so, you will see a lot of ways to stay legal and still partake in a great Thanksgiving dinner!

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

Thank you for the welcome. I haven't seen the Thanksgiving menus yet, but I'll look for them. I am really impressed with the weight loss on this site. I'm lucky if I can lose 10 olbs. in 6 months, let alone 6 or 8 weeks.
