  • is this induction flu?

    I'm on day 3 of induction. I"ve been really good and kept to plan. Yesterday I was fine but this morning I woke up with a sore throat and achy body. I'm tired and feel a little run down. Should I be worried or is this induction flu? Thanks in advance.

    oh yeah! Before I forget. I'm drinking loads of water. I'm eating veggies and trying to lower my coffee/caffeine intake.

    Goal 1 - under 200 - met 10/19/2009
    Goal 2 - 190 - met 10/25/2009
    Goal 3 - 180

    Goal 5 - 160
    Goal 6 - 150

    Goal 8 - 135
    Goal - To zip up current pants without sucking it in-10/25/09
    Goal - To need a belt/roll waistband of current pants
    Goal - To wear the next size down - 11/13/09
    Goal - To wear the next size down - without a muffin top!! 11/18/09
    Goal - To wear 'those' jeans (ya know - the ones in the back of the closet, hidden under a winter coat)
    Day 13 - wine free/ cheat free

        I would keep an eye on it. Usually, there's no temp with induction flu. You've got a low grade fever, but it could be coming from other things - dehydration, etc.

        Keep pushing the fluids, take motrin. If you're not feeling better in a day or so - or if you begin to feel worse or spike a higher temperature - be sure to call your doctor.

          Sounds like a read flu - put on a pair of home knitted wool socks - that is how I stop all flus

              I would say the sore throat is what rules it out as being just induction flu. Hope it passes quickly for you whatever it is.
              1st Goal ~ 199 Onderland -Met 3/29/10
              2nd Goal ~ 174 No longer obese
              3rd Goal ~ 150 In the home stretch
              Final Goal ~ 145 or below (I'll know when I get there) No longer overweight

                  Well today the body aches are gone ..the throat is still sore but it's not as bad. I don't really have an appetite today but I've been trying to make myself eat a little here and there. Thanks for the replies everyone!

                    Try some good nourishing hot broth - that helps (and wool socks) Glad you are feeling better.
