  • I am back..

    Hi everyone,
I am back.. after almost one year! I have been very tired lately..I have hypothyroidism, and I am on medication. All blood tests were all within normal but I was still feeling very fatigued and tired. I tried everything.. multivitamines, iron supplements, massages, 8- 9 hours of sleep almost daily but I was always exausted, drained and depressed. The other day, I went to a doctor who practices traditional chinese Medicine. and she told me that my body's chi was imbalanced and I really have very low energy... And guess what was her advice to me? In order to balance my chi (energy), I have to increase my intake of meats, poultry and eggs, and cut down on Bread and rice. In other words, follow a low carb lifestyle.
I remembered how wonderful I felt when I was following Atkins and decided to return back to induction, and make Atkins nutritional approach a way of life...
I really need energy.. and I know Atkins is my only way to feel good about myself again..I am not going to weigh myself this time..I will measure my success by how energetic I feel and how my clothes fit.
Tomorrow will be my day 1. I am looking forward to a new beginning..

Welcome back! How interesting that the Chinese medicine advocated low carbing.

Best of luck .... together we can all do it .... I know I'm looking forward to restarting tomorrow after being on weight watchers (and starving) for 2 years.

I am intrigued by your name as that's what my sister always calls me "China Doll"

                    Hope things are going well.
Glad you found support for the programme. One of my vegetarian friends some years ago also went for a consultation with someone who practice Chinese medicine and she was told to include some meats in her diet. I think she was surprised but she did and found it helped her with her energy.
