  • im bk......UK members?

    Hey everyone

After a few months off the board i am back and going to try harder this time. Last time i was on atkins i only lasted 6 days but that was due to the coffee, i gave in and drank some. I need a substitute as i cant stand full fat cream or de-caf.

Does anyone from UK have any meal plans so i could steal some ideas thanks

Time for a dose of Yoda advice here...

So what? THAT caused you to stop Atkins?

    Use light cream instead.

I suppose it's recipes you're after, not "meal plans"... since Atkins is not about following someone else's meal plan.

      Hi Laura
Have you still got a copy of the pm I sent you a few months ago with some ideas of what I ate on induction? Did that help? I can send you it again if you can't find it in your messages folders.
Atkins is really not that complicated if you look at a copy of the induction allowed foods and choose something you like from that to eat

As Georgiana said, Dr Atkins suggested we drink decaf instead of ordinary coffee because caffein can upset some people's progress, but not giving it up is not really a reason to give up on it if you are following all the other food lists

As for fruit - it will only be a few weeks until you can reintroduce berries and most melons if you move to OWL after your first 2 weeks of induction, so you would not be giving them up for ever! And some fruit-like veggies like rhubarb and pumpkin (and tomatoes/peppers/cucumbers which are really fruits botanically speaking) are induction-legal too!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
