  • Question Raw vs cooked

I have been on induction for 12 days. So far so good 10 lbs gone.
Today I was brave enought o take measurements and write them down, the number on the scale means nothing to me.

I just want to look in the mirror and not be afraid to turn sideways and wonder when the baby is due, lol.

My question is, if I measure before cooking the veggies is it alright.
I guess my fear is onions. I have heard that the sugar goes up if cooked.

Its a cold rainy day here and the thought of sausage, peppers and onions is on my mind.

It's best to measure (weigh) all vegetables raw.

The sugars don't "go up" when you cook onions or other vegetables, but the volume often reduces, which means the sugars become more concentrated.

And careful with onions. Carby stuff. On induction I often used green onions to keep carb count down.
