  • Slow Losers

On Day 17 (still doing induction) - heading into OWL.

Anyway - I lost 4 - 5lbs total in the last 17 days. I know a loss is a loss and i'm ok with it (actually think i need more food) - but just wondering for all you other slow losers in the beginner, how you are making out..... what week your at, and how much lost?

I was hoping for 10 lbs in one month - but not sure that's goign to happen unless i get a huge "whoosh" this week.

Just like to see someone in/was the same boat as a slow loser.

    Re: Slow Losers

I was but am back on the fastrack now. The problem in my case is that I was eating things that I shouldn't have been based on what I was getting from an online meal planner.

But I've gone back to the "traditional" Atkins method (i.e. based on the "Diet Revolution" book) and I've lost 5lbs in the last 3 days.

(I also drink a butt-load of water every single day)

      Re: Slow Losers

Please remember you don't have much weight to loose, so you probably won't loose huge amounts at once. Move on to OWL and start adding foods back, 5 additional net carbs won't make you gain weight, and many of us (myself included) find we loose better when we add more food into our day!

          Re: Slow Losers

You have less than 40 to lose you are going to lose slowly (and you are better off losing slowly). I am an extremely slow loser now that I am staring at menopause. In fact when I re-inducted in October I lost 3 pounds for the month. This month I am actually back up 2 of those pounds. But I have lost over 16 inches and have put on a lot of muscle so I am still calling it a victory. One thing I have learned is that in order to succeed you have to focus on the process, not the results.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
