      Welcome back to your ADBB family

      As Atkinsgal08 implied, luck is not as important as planning on Atkins as I am sure you remember from previous inductions

      We used to have a member with this very pertinent comment in their signature
      Failing to plan is planning to fail
      So I wish you well with your planning and your induction
      Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

          Today is the 6th. Happy first day of restart!!!

            2nd day on induction and feeling great decided to workout today 100 ab crunches, 25 squats, breakfast-low carb breakfast bowl from hardees, lunch-cobb salad from newks', 24 oz water not feeling any side effects, plan to weigh in sunday goal is to lose 24.5 lbs by jan.6th

              Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

              Regardless of what you did before, or what you read other people are doing, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.


              Did you check the nutritional information for the cobb salad? Is the place you ate called Newk's Express Cafe? If so the cobb salad may not have been a good choice, according to their site here is the info: Newk's Express Caf : Nutritional Information.

              I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Drink a minimum og 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin – these are mandatory when following Atkins.

Make sure you are eating enough vegetables – Atkins isn’t just meat and cheese – vegetables are a huge part of your daily menu and is where most of your carbs should be coming from.

                    imagood1-yes I have the book and familiar with Linda's recipes I have been eating a variety of foods besides meats and cheese 12/7 when I posted I had a long work day/school so I grab something in between and was only able to intake 24ozs of water that day but thanks for the resourses.
                    atkinsgal08-I prepare my food ahead of time sometimes I chose to eat out.
                    english-bulldog-started atkins back in march 2008 lost 44lbs with the help of exercise in 2 months but stopped because of death in family so Im giving it another round.
