Without knowing how much fat you are eating now... you do realize that Atkins is a high fat diet, right?

It's "normal" not to lose weight every week.

I have been eatting 18-23 net carbs now, but a total of about 40 carbs.

mission to lose, it means (to me atleast and the book) I am doing something right.
I keep having doubts, but I will see monday....

      thanks for the support.
Really and truly, I'd ignore the sticks. What color they are or are not doesn't matter.

Don't consume less fat - this is a high fat, medium protein, low carb diet! Natural fats make you feel less hungry! All you'll end up doing is eating too few calories (starving yourself) and that completely unhealthy!

The exercise is always good, of course...

I have to agree about the sticks. I have been going about 20ish days now and I have never gotten even the 1st pink. Always stays beige for me but I have dropped 21 pounds already. I still check it every night, but its always beige.

Maybe cause I drink so much water.

Some people have better luck getting a different color in the morning.

If that's what you're lookin' for!

like I said, I am just going off of what the book said, if I don't loose any weight, I will toss the strips.

                Thanks for the support.

I can't seem to eat more fats then protein, it just makes me feel sick, I have been adding a tbsp of butter every time I cook any kind of meat.

Eggs, cream cheese, oils (on salads or in cooking), avocado, cream, sour cream, fattier cuts of meat... These should help you keep your fat intake around 60-70% during Induction.

thanks for the info on salads, just olive oil?
                      thanks.

I try to get 100% of my carbs from greens.

I use olive oil... with vinegar or some lemon juice and herbs.

There is no reason to... There are carbohydrate-containing foods, other than vegetables, which are very nutritious. For example, eggs are excellent... and avocados are a great source of potassium.

You are trying to learn how to eat for life, and getting 100% of your carbohydrates from vegetables is not realistic in the long term.

Are you choosing lean meats instead of regular fatty ones? By habit (and programming) we tend to do that, but over time, if you choose fattier cuts, I promise you, you'll be swimming in deliciousness!

When I was in Japan, I ate a piece of beef that was so marbled in delicious natural fats... it fell apart on your fork due to that alone, and it was so unbelievably delicious, and it had no seasonings of any kind - it was just the beef. That was 1998 and I can still remember how good it was!

                            That's pretty boring, no?

Why not any of the other Induction vegetables?

back when I weighed 250 I went form 200, and I would eat tons of lean cuts of meat, everything fat free, salads, no dressing, I was doing this for wrestling and track&field.

I have been choosing more fattier cuts of meat, but I am going to finish off what I have now.

Ok, so you can at least prepare it in higher fat oils and butter and such to help - you're doing that, right?

Trust me - higher fat cuts of meat should help a lot and probably won't make you queasy as you say you're getting today. Perhaps you could use the lean cuts in recipes where you can add fattier ingredients, maybe?

Also - how's your veggies coming? Look at that huge list in Induction - you can get some delicious food in there, and it won't be so boring!
