  • I'm Backkkkkkk

Hi guys, I've been in limbo for a few months here. I went from doing atkins to other low carb eating programs to putting sugar and carbs BACK into my eating :no Through some soul searching and rereading DAR I KNOW now wholeheartedly that zipping carbs out of my life is a MUST, not an option. I understand how my body reacts to carbs and with carbs in my life I was miserable. I THOUGHT i could eat like so called "normal" people. You know toast, cereal, sandwiches, brown rice and popcorn, not to mention pizza and pasta. But i found my body could not tolerate even small amounts of these foods. I was always tired, hungry, unsatisdied, moody, not to mention so mad at myself. I didn't understand why i couldn't just eat normal portions of carbs and be okay. I found for me i can't do that cause if the items are in the house, i eat it ALL UP.
Dr A said that you know you'll be tempted and you will eat it if it's there so make it NOT be there, don't bring it home at all EVER. You'll go looking for allowable food items if the bad stuff is out.
Sorry so long winded but I wanted to bash myself and really think what i was saying and see it so i can restart induction this time with NO CHEATS whatsoever, by the book and CLEAN.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

        Hi Lorraine, :wave

We all make mistakes the important thing is that you learned a little more about both yourself and what you need to do to lose the weight.

Welcome back to Atkins, keep your determination and commitment as strong as it is now and you'll do just fine.

            What do you mean???

            Welcome back!

In your post you stated that you don't know why you can't eat normal amounts of carbs...... Pizza, popcorn, bread, rice, etc. do not contain a normal amount of carbs--they are loaded :yikes. Since starting this WOE my carb intake has never been so normal :nono. The most important thing is that you came back :yes!

            Good Luck! :wave
