Pickles are cucumbers, yes, and they count as vegetables. Make sure there's no sugar in the ingredients and don't forget to count the carbs.

YESSSSSS! I have a jar in my fridge, no sugar added. I love the kosher dill ones. One time I bought pickles that were sweet...yuck!

          Love pickles!!
Alot of brands do have sugar or corn syrup solids.. so careful.

They're the perfect snack for the movies... while everyone carb loads on popcorn and candy I slowly munch on one of those giant pickles. Mmm. ♥

Re: Are Dill Pickles Ok During Induction?

Pickles are great, but as everyone said, read the ingredients. I live in south of the Mason-Dixon line and around here we have pickled green beans, pickled okra, pickled cauliflower, pickled asparagus, pickled green tomatoes, pickled onions, etc. in addition to pickled cucumbers. So read the ingredients.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can even make your own "quick pickles".

Ok, so that sounds so weird, but I'll give it a shot. I <3 pickles! and I'm so happy to hear they're OK.
