  • Day 1

Brought myself some hard boiled eggs for breakfast.. yum!

Then for lunch I have two great big portabella mushroom caps that I'm going to fill with tomato bruschetta and top with mozzarella cheese.. kind of a mushroom pizza! More yum..

Not sure whats for dinner yet? Any suggestions?

    Re: Day 1

    Well that is great.
Don't forget to eat some protein with your meals - so cheese is good to eat with your mushroom but may not be enough.
I don't know about dinner. What do you like?

I love pretty much everything..LOL.. thus the extra rolls on my midsection
I might get funky with some chicken breasts... season them with some basil and oregano... thinking about trying some mashed cauliflower to go with it. Creative food is fun!

        Re: Day 1

Oh and I have some beef summer sausage and sharp cheddar to munch on through the day, and lots of tuna and eggs. Being stuck at a desk all day kind of makes "cooking" a challenge!

Don't forget to eat some fat.
Have you tried to sign up for FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal
It is a nice tool for counting carbs and for kind of keeping an eye on your percentages. We aim for about 65% of cals coming from fat.
Watch the ingredient list on your sausage. Products like that (processed) often have illegal ingredients in them like sugar or starches.

Cheese limit at 4 oz is also something to think about.

i love a cheese omlet for any meal. especially if the chees is dill havarti.. i'm broiling myself a steak for a mid afternon snack ( this diet rocksz)
i'm 25 years old, mom of two, ready to do this once and for all!
note: i am breast-feeding, though my baby is nearly weaned, eating most solid food now. i am doing this diet with the knowledge, approval, and at the suggestion of my doctor and having done my homework. i will not discuss the matter in any of my posts. please don't bring it up.
