  • Induction flu the second time around?

This morning I woke up not hungry at all, but my husband worked a night shift and asked me to make him some breakfast. I did, but I figured I shouldn't go more than 6 hours without eating so I made an egg and a slice of bacon. As I sit here I feel really nauseous. I was feeling fine, but now I feel sick.

I felt absolutely fine yesterday. This is day 5 of induction for me and now I have a tight throat and I feel blah. Could this be induction flu? I hope so because if it is this will pass much faster than a cold. I'm about to refill my water again and drink it down. Yuck, I feel yucky.

It could be, and it could also be something else looming. Drink lots of water, take some over the counter something, and chicken soup, cures anything.

It's good you aren't going too long inbetween meals - that way your blood sugar won't go up and down. Hopefully it is induction flu and nothing else but watch yourself for a couple days to see if it goes away.

        Hi!

It's my second day in and I'm starting to feel it too. I'm exhausted, have a horrible headache and feel a little nauseated and would rather sleep than eat right now.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

If you've eliminated caffeine at the same time you started Atkins, the headache could be coming from caffeine withdrawal.

It's generally advised to slowly reduce caffeine consumption.

This is not a symptom of the so-called "Induction flu".

Nope not a caffeine problem. Not a big coffee drinker or cola addict. I think I might be getting a head cold.

I'm hoping this is not a head cold. I get all congested in my head and my throat area. But I've felt like this when I had the flu too.
