  • Induction!

I started my first day of Atkins yesterday. It went pretty good and I'm veryyy excited to start losing weight. I've never had this much excitement for a diet until now. This is the year everything is going to change. It may be hard to begin with, but I know I can do it. Especially with the help of all of you guys!!

I'm gonna post pictures later on today and I'll be sure to keep you posted with my progress! (:

Welcome to the Atkins Board Chasity.

Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) locally check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables. (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html.

Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. There’s something for everyone here!

Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html . If you need anything we’re here to help you!!

      Good luck to you!
      Carole

Keep in mind that weight lost is only one of the many measures of progress on Atkins.

Welcome! Just make sure you read the book, DANDR 2002, rely on the information in it, drink your water, exercise and appreciate every change you experience whether it is weight loss, improved health, being able to do something you haven't been able to do. This way of life was a tool for me. The benefits were amazing. Best wishes.
