hi im a tad confused surely if you eat franken foods and you dont go over 20 carbs then you should still lose weight ? :confused

In addition to what Betty wrote, the bars and shakes are notorious for stalling or stopping weight loss. In fact, Atkins Nutritionals Inc. acknowledges this problem in their book Atkins Essentials, where they limit these foods to no more than 2 servings daily during Induction and where they say if these foods stall or slow weight loss, then remove them from your diet to eat whole, minimally processed foods.
Folks successfully did Atkins in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s without the processed and artificial "low carb" foods.
