  • Day 3 Of Induction

A SIGNIFICANT improvement in the way I feel today vs. Monday and Tuesday!

I started Monday morning and by 3:00 that afternoon I felt like passing out at my desk. The only thing keeping me going was the terrible headache I'd developed. Luckily my wife got off work a little earlier than usual and was able to come home and watch our 6 month old so I could sleep. Got up and ate supper and went to bed.

Tuesday morning I woke up and my eyes were dry and extremely puffy....I've never had that happen before, was pretty strange looking! Still had a headache and woke up already tired and with the same headache. I tried talking myself into going back home and crawling in bed but stuck it out and made it through the day. I did notice I started having to pee alot yesterday which has carrie don into today. I drank around 140 ozs. of water each day the past two days, I guess it finally caught up with me yesterday. Anyway, ate supper and went to bed hoping it would get better.

Woke up this morning, feeling completely different! Wide awake, no headache, not dragging. Hunger isn't as bad today either. After breakfast I got hungry again pretty quickly the past two days. Today I haven't needed anything other than more water. I hope it stays this way because I feel 150% better!

That's awesome that you're feeling so much better today and that you didn't give up. I'm on day 3 also and today has been my hard day (hard since 9am). I have felt hungry...ummm, maybe not hungry, but unsatisfied, all day. I sure hope that goes away soon.

On a side note...I see you're from Pensacola and your pic looks like you're in turtle neck with jacket. Did you just take that pic? I'm guessing ya'll are a bit cold down there this week huh? We're suppose to get some snow here in Atlanta which the kids are gonna love!

That pic was taken Sunday morning right before I went golfing. I think the high that day was 50, low was in the low 30's.....it was pretty cold out on the course that day.

They teased us by saying we may get a bit of sleet and possibly snow tomorrow, but I think it's just projected to be rain now. It's definitely unseasonably cold for us down here!

Why don't you come up north for a while and toughen up your "cold weather tolerance" a little bit...LOL.
WE are easily entertained here up north in the winter as we get a chuckle when we hear you southerners say it was 50 and chilly!

              LOL now THAT'S cold!

We live 10 minutes from the beach, it's just WRONG to be this cold here.....especially for a whole week!

When I read about how tough you've had it, I can't help to think that I'm doing something wrong!? Today is my day 3, and apart from a slight headache both yesterday and today (that went away after I drank more water), I'm feeling great!

Am I just lucky, or am I doing something awfully wrong?

                  Hi, and Welcome...

Everyone is different, so they all will have different reactions when starting Atkins. Being tired, bad headaches, etc, do not mean you are doing anything right or wrong. Some people have no "symptons" at all.

If you feel good, be happy!

Good job! Like I said earlier, when I upped my water intake; that's when I really started feeling better. I can't wait to see your weight loss results after this first week.
