  • Yesterday Evening

Yesterday evening I was starting to cook dinner and I felt like I had hit a brick wall. I was dizzy, and felt really weak. It was day 6 for me and I haven't had any issues at all since I had started. I sat down and ate a piece of chicken to see if it would help me out. It did for a little whiel and I managed to get my husbands dinner cooked but didn't have the strength to cook my own. My dear hubby cooked me an omlet (2 eggs, spinach and 1 oz grated cheese, cooked in butter), and brought it to me. I didn't feel good the rest of the evening but I feel fine today. I don't want to repeat what happend to me, so I am here to see if someone else has had this happen to them.
This is what I had eaten before dinner yesterday.
I had my mutli vitamin, and my B-12. Breakfast was 5 oz grilled salmon, 1/2 cup broccoli in butter. Lunch was grilled chicken chopped, w/mayo, 1/2 cup bell peppers and paprika added, wrapped in Kale lettuce leaves.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

When I feel like that, it's normally one of two things: I've waited too long to eat (and my blood sugar dips) or I didn't eat enough carbs to keep my blood sugar steady (...and my blood sugar dips). Could either of those issues be a factor?

Your menu looks pretty low in fat? Once I had too little fat and almost passed out. I know it sounds ridiculous, but unless I keep my fat intake to about 80%, I am not feeling like a happy camper. Check your numbers in fitday and make sure you're eating enough and eating enough fat.

If you are still feeling dizzy, I would recommend seeing a doctor, especially if this is an ongoing situation, and not simply a flu bug or virus. It could also be a symptom of anything from low blood sugar (as Shrew stated) to blood pressure.

I hope you're feeling better soon!

could be your blood pressure was low from your water soluble electrolytes being washed out by your fluids and the lack of them in your induction food choices. Potassium is one many inductees are lacking.

if you continue to feel like that see your doc to rule out a medical issue.

make sure you eat lots of fat thats why i like geting unsalted butter so i can eat alot of it

and make sure you drink lots of water when you lose body fat your body fat has toxins stored in it which now need to be flushed out of your body thats one reason why drinking alot of water especially during fat weight loss is important

Thank you for all the input. I am going to make sure I eat more often. I think I did stretch the time between meals to long. I have checked my fat intake and that looks good. I am adding some more water 2 more glasses a day shouldn't be to hard for me to do.

Yep, I'm with Shrew on this one!

If I remember correctly, you had only eaten 1 cup of veggies for the day by dinner time. I would have fallen over soon if I were you...even on induction. Broccoli doesn't have many carbs and I don't eat peppers so I don't know what your total intake was....but I too, would've been on my butt! Remember it was only day 6 and your body is probably still wondering what the heck you're doing to it! I'd say eat more carbs and eat more often.
