Yes, but you need to count it toward your sweeteners, which are limited to 3 packets/servings per day. Each serving of gum counts as 1 serving of sweetener.

My advice is to avoid chewing gum. If it's only a bad habit, then it's best to break it.

Honestly, I wouldn't unless you're chewing gum with birch-based xylitol or stevia (both natural, sugar free sweeteners). Definitely count the carbs, but really, you want to lose the addiction to sweet, and when you kick the artificial sweeteners, it's amazing how much sweetness you can detect in even meats and cheeses.

            Nope.

I make mine with no vinegar.

do you mean red wine vinegar?
Red wine vinegar is allowed during all phases of Atkins.

Okay, I will try it with just olive oil, fresh basil and some salt/pepper.

                  Thanks again!

                    Re: stupid question

If you like the extra sweetness of balsamic vinegar in a dressing you could try adding a little of one of the allowed sweeteners to ordinary vinegar to make the dressing. But remember to count it as part of your 'up to 3 servings' of sweetener
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
