I think so. I was a bit sweet loving person and by following a diet where all that sugar and starch was cut out and feel that I do not need to eat it. If (usually by accident) something very sweet is in my mouth I find it too sweet. I do appreciate some sweet taste in vegetables and some of the fruits that I have introduced. And that is plenty enough for me now.

I suppose a slice of lemon would do it too, but is that legal in induction?? It's a fruit?

Yes. Induction is hard. I actually wonder of some people downplay how difficult it can be to get through because they don't want to scare people off starting Atkins. I craved sugar something awful, and ate a LOT of pickles to deal with that.

But I can tell you that it passed. This Christmas, we made fudge, brittle and cookies to give as gifts and I ate... none of it. Wasn't even tempted. It just... didn't interest me. Nobody was more surprised than I was, but you can very quickly get to a lovely place where sugar just isn't part of your life anymore.

I think though that it is MUCH easier to get there if you lay off the fake sweetners. I don't really see how you can stop craving something you're eating all the time - you're just tricking your body into thinking it's getting the real stuff by replacing it with the fake stuff. That doesn't seem like a good foundation for eating to me.
