  • Atkins with No Eggs or Cheese?

Is it possible to adopt the Atkins diet if you don't eat eggs or cheese? Or mayo for that matter? I have never liked any of them and each time I try them over the years, it yields the same result. I still don't like them... ha ha ha...

Anyway, my biggest concern would be breakfast. The rest of the day is no big deal as I can eat meat and veggies anytime and be perfectly happy.

As much as I like bacon, I can't imagine just eating piles of it every morning for breakfast. I'd really need to find some alternative that is both palatable and does not include eggs/cheese/mayo.

    Thanks for any ideas!

think outside the box. We never have to eat traditional breakfast foods. Cook extra dinner and have left overs for breakfast. Your stomach has no idea what time it is and if you give it the samy healthy yummy meal twice it will not say yuck it is breackfast time and I want breakfast foods.

You can use any healthy fat you want just make sure you consume some fat some protein and some of your carbs each time you eat.

Can't wait to see your DAY 15 yippeeeeee I lost _____ post. don't for get to measure too so you can see the inches of body fat being burned off as you work your atkins cause some times that mean scale wont validate your hard work.

If you aren't allergic to cheese, just don't like it, you could try this. I don't taste cheese in it.

Oopsies/Revolution rolls both use a bit of cheese or mayo, but again, you don't taste it. You could make a "breakfast sandwich" with them.

Failing that, as 2big said, you can eat anything legal for breakfast, it doesn't have to be breakfast food. Wrap a slice of meat around a sugar-free pickle or celery stick or wrap a lettuce leaf around meat... Once you start climbing the rungs, yogurt & berries will give you more "traditional" breakfast choices.

sure its possible but you may get bored with the menu. i hope you LOVE meat and fish.
i'm 25 years old, mom of two, ready to do this once and for all!
note: i am breast-feeding, though my baby is nearly weaned, eating most solid food now. i am doing this diet with the knowledge, approval, and at the suggestion of my doctor and having done my homework. i will not discuss the matter in any of my posts. please don't bring it up.
