So went to hockey today (I play goal) and got tired a lot faster then normal. After about 50 minutes of solid playing I thought I was going to pass out and puke. Is this normal during induction? On day 4 if that matters.

Re: Played ballhockey today. Exhausted quicker then normal.
Some people do find a loss of energy when their bodies are converting to a fat-burning metabolism.
Make sure you are eating adequate amounts. Oftentimes, people are still in that "low calorie" mentality when they start Atkins that they skimp on the amount of fat they need to eat. Likewise, some people make the dreadful mistake of eating trying to eat as few carbs or near 0 carbs per day hoping that will help their weight loss: all it does is make you feel tired and miserable.~Megs~

yep very normal 50 mins is even longer then most folk make it. Our bodies need time to manufacture more of the "power plants" in our cells that make energy from fats and fat energy is an aerobic reaction so when your oxygen gets low and you have drained the already made energy units and exhausted your glucose and glycogen stores your body screams stop!!!. Once you adapt your muscles will store more fatty acids inside their cells for faster resupply and your body will have more powerplants cranking out energy unit and you will be skating circles around your high carb teammates.
Also inductees are notorious for not picking foods to meet their electrolyte needs and with the diuretic effects of the Atkins eating you can get low in them too and feel like passing outby the book atkinseer
