  • Start the induction phase Monday!

    Hey all:
I start the induction phase Monday. My husband is coming home from deployment and I want to loose the 15 pounds I have gained since he left plus 10-15 more. I want to then continue to loose my 60 pound goal. I have never done Atkins before. I just finished reading the book and all of the tips in the induction forum. I am grocery shopping tomorrow and am working on my list. I am a list girl and have to plan each meal, snack for the week as I am a mom of 3, a teacher and a grad student. Any advice on accomplishing this task of shopping list or meal planner that is made simple? Thanks so much and I am so motivated to do this!

P.S. how do you get the cute little ticker counters?

Lucky you! The commissary is a great place to shop for this. It is far less expensive for us than everyone else. Who else can buy boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.71/pound! I usually use thighs though, because they have a higher fat content. It's pretty easy shopping for this WOE. Just plan on a meat and a salad for pretty much every meal. The most important thing is not what to buy, but what to get rid of. Having too much tempting "illegal" food around the house is a bad thing. I'm guessing you are a Kings Bay person, I am too.
