My dear hubby wanted to make tacos last night, and I figured that being on induction, I could eat the ground beef, shredded cheese, lettuce, and use 1 tbsp of sour cream on top. My husband measured it all out and put it into a bowl for me and I ate it all up.
This morning I woke up and I was up almost a pound. I went to FitDay and looked to see what was different and I didn't find anything. I was right on target with everything. So I just decided I would up my water for the day, thinking that it would help flush off the extra and I would stick to what I had eaten on a day that was more successful.
Then came lunchtime and my husband was reheating the leftover taco meat and I noticed it looked a different that when I make it. He had purchased a store packet of taco seasoning and it contains sugar and 3 carbs per serving!!
He hadn't thought checking it since he thought it was just a spice mix and we both learned. He felt so bad, I felt bad for him.
Now I know that carbs can be lurking in the items, I will look over everything.
