  • How many calories per day ?

    Hii

    I think I have got the diet sorted now and understand the amount of protein/carbs/fats I should be eating, but now, how many calores should I eat ?

    Over the last couple of days its been around 1,750.

    Well how tall are you and how much do you weigh. When you know that you can find your bmr and go from there.

    My approach is rather intuitive - I just eat and leave it at that. ")

      Hi Im 5ft5" and weigh around 10st just trying to get back to 9st or just under, so I dont have loads to lose. My only concern is I have always been on and off diets trying to lose weight, I am findining it difficult to believe I will lose weight eating more than a 1,000 calories per day, its been imprinted on my brain for years lol. My BMI is 21.5.

        So you are a little one Well I think what you are eating is good. Your bmr is around 1700 calories so you are doing it right. Are you exercising?

          Yes but I am on holiday this week and taking a rest from exercise on my GPs advice, I have hurt my knee. Will be exercising again from next week.

            listen to your body and feed your hunger. if you are not hungry then eat just a small snack of protein healthy fat and some of your veggie carbs every 6 hours you are awake until you get hungry again.

            If you ever saw a picky toodler eat then you know what feeding your hunger is all about. they can go a few days eating just a few bites and then they are putting away so much food you wonder where it is going. they are naturally feeding their hunger. And like the advice picky toodlers parents are given make sure your food choices are nutrionally dense do you are getting as many of your vits and minerals in as possible.
