  • Starting Today - Day 1 - Here We Go!

    Today is Day 1 of Induction. I've read the book and did grocery shopping and ready to go for this morning. I am giving up coffee cold turkey too. I'll take measurements tonight and put aside some before pictures. Starting weight is 162.4 . The highest I've been in entire life. I'll never see this number again!

    Down hill from here

        Thank you! I've done good thus far today. I haven't had any coffee and for the last hour now have felt that headache just starting to approach and settle in. I am totally prepared for a few yucky days. I'm extremely tired feeling like I need to sleep forever...but of coarse can't!lol

          Welcome. I am on day three myself (day 1 of posting). I seem to be getting over the "induction flu" this evening. My symptoms were headaches, stomach cramps, and extreme fatigue. But 2 1/2 days isn't so bad.

            Stomach cramps? Are you eating enough? Headaches and fatigue can also be a symptom of hypoglycemia. You might want to post a menu, with a quantities and net carbs.

              Day 2 Induction

              Well, today has gone smoothly and I just finished Fitday to calculate exactly how many carbs thus far have been eaten. 14.1 so far. Time to plan dinner.

              I came home from a rough and busy day and hubby had the day off, since he is doing this with me I became very angry to see he didn't at least do our lunch dishes to make way for me to make our dinner. I let him have it , but it's stuff like this that can easily knock us of target and want to through our hands up. Its because I am so busy running my own business that I can easily say I don't have time for this induction stage. To put an end to this story. I told him ( didn't ask ) told him if he doesn't help out when he does have days off and home when I'm working, I won't be cooking for him, nor offering him anything. He can take care of himself. LOL.

              I think it might work . If not, He's on his own LOL
              Time for dinner!

                I gave up caffeiene cold turkey too and feel for you. on day 3 I was ready to quit buit on day 4 the world was so calm and I was so energized. I never looked back.

                Your anger at DH can be a symptom of not eating enough on your first few days too so make sure you are listening to your body and feeding your hunger no matter how many cals it taks. just make sure your carbs stay under 20 net and most of them come from your induction legal veggies and you will do fine morphing your body working your atkins pan to become the healtheir smaller you.
