    Re: McDonalds??

Why did you have "fat free cream cheese"?

    >>didnt read the book.>>

    You really need to.

    >>i ate only meat eggs and chese these last 14 days...to be on the safe side.>>

That's not how one does Atkins though.

    >>I am at day 14 of my diet>>

Yes ... it is "your" diet!

I think if you read the book, you'll see where you've been going wrong!!!

    Until then, check out:

Hi there angel! McDonalds is fine, by the looks of what you had. I am a Wendy's Baconator fan, myself. Nom!

I would go ahead and pick up the book and take a gander. Sure, going VLC is going to net weight losses, but Dr. Atkins wanted you to test your system against vegetables and see how it reacts as well. Additionally, you want to refrain from boredom, and vegetables provide obviously important ways to enjoy life. If you check the recipe section here and my blog, you'll find literally hundreds of ways to have veggies, some in ways you never knew even existed!

I make a mean pizza crust with cauliflower, egg and cheese that is to die for! Check it out on my blog, and see how even us veggie non-fans can make it happen.

love your staus label there angle mina.

I agree you really need to get a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 version known as DANDR around here so you can learn how to do Atkins correctly. while eating just meat egs and cheese will give one an initial weight loss it will also slow your loss as you develope defiencies in many vits and minerals needed for body metabolism to function at its best.

                    Re: McDonalds??

At mcd's your better getting a plain burger, quarter pounder etc w/o the bun as it's just beef with no fillers.

also watch their grilled chicken, it also contains all sorts of ingredients:

                    Grilled Chicken Breast Filet
Chicken breast filets with rib meat, water, seasoning (salt, sugar, food starch-modified, maltodextrin, spices, dextrose, autolyzed yeast extract, hydrolyzed [corn gluten, soy, wheat gluten] proteins, garlic powder, paprika, chicken fat, chicken broth, natural flavors (plant and animal source), caramel color, polysorbate 80, xanthan gum, onion powder, extractives of paprika), modified potato starch, and sodium phosphates.

Went there for lunch (was in a rush and hungry). Got a double quarter pounder with cheese (plain). I won't do that often but it is pretty good at releiving constipation.

                        Re: McDonalds??

the cheese is processed so it's not a good choice -- order your burger without the cheese next time.

my "go to" meal at McDonalds is a side salad (I take my own dressing because of the ingredients in Newman's Own), picking out the 2 slices of carrot and discarding....and a quarter pounder w/o cheese "low carb"....that means no condiments and no bun - it's the burger with lettuce only and I ask them for a packet of mayo to dunk the burger in - a packet has a premeasured amount in it -- if you let them put mayo "on the side" you may get way over 1 portion. My drink of choice is a large water. It's a fairly cheap meal and I still get to go out and eat with friends and family.

All cheese is processed. That's what 2big taught me years ago.

McDonalds cheese is fine in moderation. You just don't want to go making pasties out of it and wearing it on the beach as a fashion statement.

Indeed, because that particular shade of orange is so hard to match with my tan-in-a-can.

Well if their cheese is 2 carb for a square and has potato starch I think I would prefer to wear it rather than eat it. The colour may be an issue. You are right ..... Hmmm what to do, what to do
