  • Newbie on Day 3 here...

Hello, I posted an intro over on that board, but I wanted to say that I am on day three. Weight breaks down like this:

    Day 1:127
    Day 2:124
    Day 3:122

So, a loss of 5 pounds so far which I am totally assuming is water weight. I think I am finally getting over the induction flu, but I am pretty much sick of eating eggs for breakfast already. Tomorrow I am going to switch that up and boil them instead of scrambling and add bacon. Any ideas for other breakfast items? Thanks in advance.

You can have anything that's Atkins legal for breakfast!

    You can have leftover dinner.

You just have to think outside the carton!!!

I know how you feel! I am on day 4 and finally learned (after a rough day yesterday) that I just need to spice things up a bit. You can make deviled eggs with a tablespoon of mayo per 4 eggs- add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard and salt and pepper to taste- you can even add some cayenne pepper.

To give my chicken a boost I have it with lettuce mayo and a slice of bacon- it's like a chicken, bacon, ranch from subway!

Also~ check out awesome induction menus from Linda~ they are amazing and oh so creative! Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Daily Menus

I am also on day 3 of induction. 2 pounds so far (not a good "week of the month" to start induction) but I am determined. I find myself wanting something crunchy.. like chips or crackers. I need to find a recipe to curb this craving.... So far so good. I have had a really bad headache for 3 days, but it is much better tonight...

There's nothing to gain from comparing your weight loss with someone else or your eating plan with someone else's. If you follow the Atkins plan correctly, you will lose weight... at your own rate.

Instead of wondering what others are doing, what about posting a few complete menus of yours (please include quantities and net carbs for all foods)? Then we could take a look and see if there's anything that needs to be tweaked there.

I am also on day 3. I haven't gotten the "I feel like crap" stage maybe it's comming later on in the day?

I was a bad boy and weighed myself the past 3 days and I have lose 4lbs. Im sure it also is just water weight.

Mix it up! I have done this diet before and eating the same things over and over makes it really hard. Here is what I ate for breakfast the past two days to give you an idea

                  yesterday:

2 egg omlett with american cheese, green peppers, mushrooms and bacon

                  And today:

                  1 Peice of chicken breast
1 Peice of boneless pork ribs
1 cup raw spinach / spicey mayo as dressing
                  2 heart of palm

Oooh, I am definitely going to do devilled eggs for myself. Thanks for that tip because I didn't think of it for some reason. LOL.

As for crunchy-I do hot & spicy pork rinds. They did the trick when I felt like eating chips the 2nd day.

Hot and spicy pork rinds may have illegal ingredients. At least the ones that I can get here do. I stick to plain pork rinds for that reason.
