  • Day 5 and feeling fine!!!

I started on Monday. The first 3 days were really hard. I had terrible headaches that just would not go away. Day 4 was much better. I felt better, I didn't resent the foods I was eating and I had more energy. I added 30 minutes of cardio to my already 30 minutes of Wii workout!! I even cooked pasta for my kids last night for dinner, and I used green beans as my noodles!!!!

I got on the scales this morning and to my amazement I had lost..... drum roll...... 8 pounds!!!! I couldn't believe it. It is TOM, and I know some is water weight, but it was a great incentive to put on pants this morning that were not uncomfortable. I can truly tell the difference.

I do struggle with water consumption. I do not like water and struggle to make myself drink it. I am still shy the amount that is needed, but I am drinking 1 liter of pure water a day. I hope to add more this weekend. Thanks for all of the wonderful support on here!!!!

Wow Melissa, that is a great loss so far

Good for you for trying to increase your water intake too - I find having a sports-top bottle with me when on the computer helps as I take a sip each time the screen refreshes. It is amazing how many times I need to refill it without having noticed how much I am drinking.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

That's awesome. We both started on the same day and we have the same loss. I too feel motivated when I step on the scale every morning. I hope we can keep up the momentum until the end of induction.

Like Elizellen says, take small sips all day long -- I have a 32 oz bottle with a straw that I take everywhere I go (yes even to the bathroom) I started out saying I'd drink 2 of them a day....I now drink 4 bottles or more daily and miss it if I don't get enough. Good luck getting your intake up to at least the minimum!
