Re: just started induction!!
How many net carbs are you eating? How many of those come from vegetables?
How many calories are you consuming?
How much water?

Re: just started induction!!
I just finished my third week and I still feel some of the induction flu symptoms; mainly tiredness and no energy for workouts. It lessens over time, but it took a while for the caffeine to get out of my system. Then I learned from this wonderful site, that I had way too little fat in my diet and that contributed to my dragging. Stick with it. In the first week I lost 5 pounds, the second week I GAINED 5 pounds and this week, I lost ten pounds. YOU have too look at this way of eating as a long term solution and that means enduring a little discomfort for a week or two. I am starting to feel great now and I am glad I made it through. Set a goal/reward that makes the pain worth the gain (or loss in this instance). That way, when times get tough, you have the power to surge forward. Good Luck!

Re: just started induction!!
It lasted only 2 days for me. On day 3, I felt AWESOME. I know the induction flu stinks, but it doesn't last forever.
Definitely keep taking your vitamin, and make sure to get plenty of water, and enough veggies without going over your net carbs!

Re: just started induction!!
it has to do with detoxing from any addictions you had plus you are forcing your body to make the switch from being a primary glucose energy production system to a fats energy production system and your body needs to build more fuel plants make more transportors and helper molecules. Many folk have what you have it is called induction flu around here. Hang in there and it will pass if you keep eating your healthy fats moderate proteins and low carb foods drink your water take your needed supplements based on your food choices and doing your mandatory atkins exercise. Took me to day 4 for the world to feel great. Some folk need a full week.
hang in there.by the book atkinseer

Re: just started induction!!
If 8 net carbs meant "a lot of vegetables" (I imagine you mean "a lot" in volume), then you can choose more nutritious vegetables to increase your net carbs without increasing the volume you eat.Originally posted by babyphat1982 View Postyesterday i only got 8 carbs. i did eat a lot of vegetables
