I have a quick question about artificial sweeteners. I had been using Splenda packets each day in my coffee and was feeling strange to give up 3 carbs worth of veggies each day in order to sweeten my decaf in the morning. So after poking around I saw that the liquid sweeteners are actually truly 0 carb since they don't have the powder binder that makes each packet worth 1 carb. I just want to make sure that I am correct about this. I bought the liquid sweet 'n' low and the ingredients are: Water, 2.2% Calcium Saccharin (13.2 milligrams per each teaspoonful of sugar sweetening equivalence), with Benzooic Acid (.054%) and Methyl Paraben (.046%) as Preservatives. So I can truly count this as zero??? Of course still not exceeding 3 servings. Just want to check so that I don't go over my 20 carbs per day. Also, I had been using 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee but switched today to cream. Seems so sinful to put cream in my coffee and not the fat free milk that I used to use!!! So much more tasty
