  • My induction experience

Friday marked the end of my 2 week induction. My total weight loss was 14.2 lbs. I didn't measure myself, but my clothes are looser as are my shoes. I haven't felt this good in years. I can't wait to see how this progresses. I did want to share some things that I learned for others just starting.

    1. The icky or weak feelings will pass. Just make sure you are eating enought carbs and drinking enough water.
    2. Cravings will go away just find something to do until they pass: go for a walk, come to ADBB, take a shower or bubble bath, drink water.
    3. Check on Fitday (or whatever system you use) for the carbs before you eat the meal, you might find carbs in something you didn't expect.
    4. If you are cooking for you family, don't taste to check for flavor.
    5. Check out the websites for recipies. You will be amazed at what you can make and eat. Some of them are very simple to make.
    6. Don't go more than 6 hours between eating, even if you are not hungry.
    7. Have food prepped to eat in the fridge, for when you get hungry.
    8. Enjoy the changes your body is going through, this program is amazing.
    9. Drink water, and then more water.

I am going to be on extended induction for a while. My husband is joining me on Atkins next weekend and I want to work the program at the same level as him for the rest of the program.

    Much success to you all

    Katie

Thanks for this post! Very motivational. I am only on Induction day 3 and today am really starting to feel like heck, but I know it will pass and I must stick it out. Hearing advice like yours reassures me that it will pass and I will feel great, something I am really looking forward to. Keep us posted on how you and the hubby are doing and best of luck!!!
