    Hi

    Just a quick update. 1st week down and i've lost 9 pounds! I seem to have lost my appetite at the weekend aswel and havent wanted to eat alot! Is that normal at this stage? I don't feel deprived or anything i feel great!

    Congrats on the pounds lost!

    Appetite suppression is one of the "side effects" of ketosis. Make sure you are not consistently undereating, as that will slow down your metabolism and won't do your overall health any good.

    Enter your foods in FitDay. Check your calories there (eat above your BMR, on average) and take a look at your vitamins and minerals to see if you are making good food choices.

          What a great start

          If the appetite suppression really gets strong you will need to make sure you plan to eat a 'little something' at the 6 hour mark, to avoid getting too hungry all of a sudden and making off-plan emergency decisions

          F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
