  • Day 7...

Well it's been 7 days since I started and I have lost a total of 7lbs so far. I wanted to say thanks to this board for all the great advice it really is a great help with all the questions that have arised. I wanted to share some of my experiences with others.

Something things i've noticed so far are that im constantly thirsty. Im drinking tons of water. About a gallon or more and I just can't get enough of the stuff. I have to cut back after dinner or I will be up all night running to the bathroom.

Im actually starting to enjoy the taste of food without sugar. This morning I downed a can of green beans with my omlett and it tasted sweet to me. Everybody was like how can you eat that lol but it tasted good! I love spinach! I can eat 3 cups of that no problem it tastes so good with a little spicey mayo as dressing on it. Pickles, cucumbers, peppers, I just cant get enough veggies now im craving it more than meat. Vegtables make up most of my 20g of carbs a day. Wierd!

Im constantly starving now too. I eat tons of fatty meat, and eggs, cheese, along with all my veggies and try to stuff myself with water and about 2 hours again I feel as if I haven't eaten in 3 days! Even during breakfast this morning I ate my green beans, omlett with peppers, mushrooms, and onions along with a mozzerella string cheese and a liter of water and im still starving. Anybody else like this? Im thinking my metabolism is like in turbo mode? or am i doing something wrong? I find it funny when people tell you your body cant digest meat very well and i find myself starving 2 hours later seems to be digesting it fine to me!

I keep getting told diets don't work by others who think they know everything. Atkins is bad for you. I don't beleive it one bit. I told them im not on a diet im changing the way I eat and my outlook on food! Im motivated and my struggle with my weight has come to an end...this time im going to get this weight off and keep it off...

    FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Oh and to add to this i've noticed how important it is to check lables! There is sugar in EVERYTHING it's a conspiracy!!! And they wonder why Americans are obese...stop putting sugar in everything!!! Even the spices you put on your meat have sugar in them!

    Re: Day 7...

How many calories are you eating each day? Basically, if you are hungry, eat! Have a bit of fat, protein and carb. Like egg, tuna or chicken salad - eggs or tuna or diced chicken, mayo, mustard (leave out of the chicken salad), celery and green onion, add a bit of diced jicama for a sweet crunch to the chicken salad. No need to have another meal, just a small scoop, then wait a few minutes and see if that hit the spot.

Yes, you log in to Fitday.

Then on the Profile tab, at the bottom of the page is a link to "Public Setting Page".

Click on that and then click on the button "Make My Journal Public".

Then you'll get a link that looks like:

        - free online diet and fitness journal

        Post that here.
