  • Intro and Induction Day 3

I'm making it! I'm very very tired and having terrible headaches. I figure it's from withdraws. Drinking my water and eating my veggies, cheese, and meats. Water is the hardest part...I don't like water...but I'm drinking my 8 glasses!

I currently weigh 158.4 pounds and would like to weigh at least 135 or ideally 125. I'm 5'3" and medium build. My weigh day is Sunday. I only weigh once a week. Only health problem is fibromyalgia so exercise is difficult but I'm pushing through.

My DH is on day 3 of induction also. He's 5'9" medium build. Current weight 175 pounds with a goal weight of 150. He has high blood pressure and high cholesterol. On Jan. 15 we celebrated 27 glorious years of life together. I have heard that having spousal support helps yet usually a man will lose faster than a woman....I'm fortunate that he'll stick with me in this lifestyle change. We're a team!!

Thanks for the support, suggestions, and answering questions when they come around.

    God Bless!
    Dianna

I am on day three as well. Yesterday was hard, headaches and tired. Feel better now. I think i may be in ketosis, I have a weird taste in my mouth.

        Welcome!

My husband and I did Atkins together although he lost far quicker than I did but continues to support me at every turn. It is easier when you don't have to worry about maintaining carbs in the pantry and cupboards and can make food choices carefully.

        Blessings to you.

Good to hear you have an Atkins buddy at home, Dianna That will certainly help keep you on track !
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
