  • 3 days - no weight loss -Stalling?

    I havent lost anything in 3 days. Is this normal? I am on week to of induction and I have lost 8 lbs so far but nothing has happened for 3 days. Is this normal?

      If you want to post a menu, just to make sure you're doing things right, we can take a look. Please include quantities and net carbs for all foods.

        2 boiled eggs for b-fast
        5 oz red meat with 1 tomato for lunch
        1 chicken leg for dinner with green salad, cucumber and tomato

          Can you write quantities for ALL foods?

              2 boiled eggs
              Do you know how many net carbs these have?

              5 oz red meat
              What kind of red meat?

              Are you using any spices? If you do, how much of each? How many net carbs come from spices?

              1 tomato
              How big is this tomato? Is it a cherry tomato? Or a huge Bull's Heart tomato?

              How many net carbs does your tomato have?

              1 chicken leg
              Drumstick and thigh?

              Are you using any spices?

              Do you eat the skin?

              Any fat you use in cooking?

              green salad
              What kind of green salad? Iceberg lettuce? Mache? Spinach?

              How big is your salad?

              How many net carbs does it have?

              cucumber
              How big is this cucumber?

              How many net carbs does it have?

              tomato
              Same questions as for your other tomato.

                There's not enough food here. Not enough calories and not enough vegetables (though, without quantities, it's difficult to say for sure).

                There's also not enough fat. Atkins is a high fat diet and during Induction about 65% of our daily calories should come from fat.

                Are you using FitDay to track your food?

                Are you measuring foods?

                Are you counting net carbs?

                Are you reading the book?

                How much water are you drinking?

                Are you exercising?

                  Absent more detail regarding cooking methods and additional ingredients used...

                  861 calories per FitDay, 7.7g net carb, 7.0g net carb from veggies

                  Initial Verdict: starvation mode

                      If that's her typical menu, unless she makes some changes she'll screw up her metabolism.
