  • Day 4 still going..but today was hard!

    So today is Day 4 of induction....no cheating at all, measuring my foods, eating only induction foods...already getting a little bored due to my extreme pickiness..LOL..but I am working on that. I havent weighed and am not going to weigh until Feb. 14 because I have some issues with scales and tend to get on them 14 times a day..lol..but I feel REALLY good..I dont feel like im in a carb coma all day long and you really dont realize just how much bad carbs affect the way you feel throughout the day..Also I dont feel bloated, and for the most part staying satisfied throughout the day.

    The cravings came back today for some reason..only because I walked into a convienence store and they work baking a big ole pizza!!! It smelled soooooooo good..haha...then I notice every pizza commercial on tv, which didnt help..but I just grabbed my bottle of water and ate a few cubes of cheese and now I am fine....hopefully I wont dream of pizza tonight!! LOL as you can tell pizza and mexican are my downfall...love them...sniff sniff..lol..but they got me where I am today and nothing tastes as good as being here for my little boy feels!!!!!

        Congrats on the willpower and sticking with the water and cheese. I know how tempting the smells and sights of your favourites are! Thanks liv for the pizza link! One of my favs as well, didn't think I would ever have again.

          OMG Liv that site is going to save me...I got hungry looking at the pics and almost everything on there is the stuff we typically eat!!! I am going to make me a huge grocery list and try some of this out! I'm glad to see alot of them were induction friendly!

            Hi there! I just wanted to connect as one pizza lover to another! hehe

            Here is how I handle my cravings...

            First, you already got the link for the cauliflower pizza, here is another one at Linda's Site:
            Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

            I believe Linda might have a few more recipes for pizza in there so check her recipes thoroughly.

            Also, My mom makes this awesome meal (has all my life) called Meatzza Pie. It is like meatloaf (we take the flour out of course), but it is thinner and flattened out on a large casserole dish or deep baking sheet. You bake the meat till halfway done, then top with homemade or sugar free pizza sauce and your favorite pizza toppings. Finish baking and YUMMMO!!! I even asked for it for my birthday dinner from her (and I turned 41 on the 19th!! giggle~)

            Also, if you are ever in a situation where they order pizza for lunch/dinner wherever you are at, just eat mostly salad/vegies and take the pizza toppings off of a slice or two to get by. Donate the bottom pizza crust to a starving dog somewhere! (or just toss it)
