    Re: 5 days - up 2 pounds

Ok, I ordered one on ebay last week but I think I might have gotten the new one. Should I try to get the old one too?

    Thanks again..

New one means the one written by Colette and Traeger?
You do want the book written by Atkins (and not all the books that say Atkins on them were written by the good doctor)
We here are basing our diets and our advice on the last book Atkins wrote before he passed away. It was called Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution and was published first in 2002.

I would say to eat more fat too. Add in olive oil and such. I know that I feel so much more satisfied when I add fats. I'm on day 8 and have lost 11 pounds and I'm eatings lots of good fats!!

I would personally put some vinegar (non-balsamic) & olive oil or other sugar free salad dressing on the salad and maybe a pinch of sugar free meat. But the eggs would suffice. For the hotdogs, if you can get them, I use the Hebrew National brand which are 0 carbs, however they do have quite a bit of sodium (like all hotdogs) and so shouldn't be consumed too often. I find that adding some different 'salad' vegies to my salad, such as green pepper or cucumber, helps move the weight a lot better than just lettuce. Plus, they give you extra nutrients. Good Luck!

Is there a reason you're buying water? Premium water at that!

                Thanks everyone for your tips...

I purchased the water just for the bottle. I'm going to reuse it.. I'm really bad about just drinking a few cups and saying "That's good enough". So I purchased this big bottle to make sure I drink 2 per day! (101 oz)

welcome. what the others said about just about everything

adding some healthy fats to your foods since Atkins is a ketogenic diet high fat moderate protein and lwo carbs should go a long way to fixing your weight gain.

BTW your math is off. if they are 1 1/2 quarts then 2 would be 3 qts and a qt is 32 ounces so 2 would be 96 ounces not 101. if the bottles are plastic you might want to read up on the chemicals in plastics that leech into your water before you refill them over and over.

Hi Cyndeg Welcome to our international ADBB family

You have been given some great advice already so I just wanted to welcome you to the board!

One thought I had which no-one has mentioned yet is this . . . .
Assuming from your name that you are female, is it anywhere near that 'time of the month'? Many of us lucky ladies experience an increase in scales weight either before, during or after our 'TOM' (or even through all those times ) so any losses might take time to show up on the scales
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

HI, I dont think the atkins bars are allowed in induction. that is for later on down the line, that may be why you are not losing weight.
